wait, i bought what?

holy *^&#!

um, i just got home from the Garden State Sheep & Fiber, and dragged home a llama *and* an alpaca fleece.

*shakes head* the woman thinks the llama may be part suri, but as it's her friend's llama, she wasn't quite sure.

at least i only spent $30... and that includes the entry fee.

and since i met a friend and she got some stuff, we traded. i gave her a bit of each of the above, and she gave me:

the tri-colored one is jacob/mohair (50/50) roving. the other two are llama/wool (70/30) and the softest roving ever. if i hadn't spent all of the money i brought with me on the fleeces, i would've gotten some of this.

beautiful haul!
if it is part suri, it will be hairier, more like locks. i've had some suri, it reminded me of mohair, rather than llama. but, perhaps silkier (slicker?) feeling.
