sock news

i decided not to rip the sock apart. i think i can live with the distorted-ness, it's not that bad.

what is bad however, are the directions for the heel.

i know i'm missing something, but i have no idea what.

this is the sock now. it's definitely snug. i would've preferred a looser one, but not after knitting half of it.
the only mod i've done (so far) is to repeat the point thing twice more at the end. in the original, it's all blue, and i just don't strand that well to cover that much ground with the white. if i need to cover more than 7 or 8 stitches (even with catching the carry under a stitch) i wind up with the carry too tight. i plan on continuing some sort of fair isle down the foot as well... if i can ever get to the foot.
